c# - How to prevent asp.net ajax postback with JQuery? -

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">     function pageload(sender, args) {         $('#bvft').addclass("bvft");          $('#new').live('click', function() {             $('#bvft').removeclass("bvft");             $('#bvft').show("slow");         });          $('.ddlfrtime').change(function() {             var vftime = $('.ddlfrtime').val();              if (vftime != "") {                 $('#bvft').removeclass("bvft");                 $('#bvft').show("slow");             }             else { alert("sorry"); }         });      }         </script>

in $('#bvft'), have 1 dropdownlist

<asp:dropdownlist id="ddlfrtime" runat="server" width="250px" cssclass="ddlfrtime" autopostback="true"                                     onselectedindexchanged="ddlfrtime_selectedindexchanged">                                 </asp:dropdownlist>

$(#bvft) div id. $('#new') button id. when page load, want disable. works perfect. when click button, $(#bvft) div show. problem (in div, have dropdownlist) when select dropdownlist, postback work. @ time div automatically hide back. how prevent this. used function pageload() prevent postback. it's not working.

set autopostback false dropdownbox
